DividingPointe was established in 2005 as an e-commerce consultancy by David Berger. David has spent theĀ previous 13 years of his career with Hearst Magazines, leading their online marketing initiatives. After establishing a business worth tens of millions annually to his employers, he was looking for a way to continue experimentation in different venues of online marketing; bringing his skills and entrepreneur perspectives to help demysitify the world of online marketing. DividingPointe's first project was a Web Operations audit for the National Geographic Society. With NGS, Dividingpointe was able to review different branches of their operations, and how their independent actions were detrimental to an overall strategic direction that was in the best interests of the company as a whole. DividingPointe identified where NGS spent effort competing only with itself, and offered recommendations to strreamline content processes so that each group worked in accordance with its expertise, and in support of the greater mission. Since then, DividingPointe has continued to expand its portfolio of industries served.
